Dom is our Head Coach and brings unwavering dedication and professionalism to his role. Originally from Britain, Dom has 13 years of international coaching experience working his way from assistant coach at his home club in England through to senior level coaching positions in America, the UK and Australia.
Dom spent four years in America playing college tennis during which he played alongside some the highest ranked NCAA players. He spent a further two years coaching at the prestigious
Portland Country Club in New England and Lights Out Tennis Academy in Maine before returning to England take up a role at the University of Kent.
Dom has coached all levels of players and possesses a specialisation in developing juniors, high school and university players.
Armed with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sports Management, Dom holds a USPTA Level 3, LTA Level 2, and ATPCA Level 2 Coaching Certifications.
Dom was a successful junior player reaching a rank of #9 in Kent in under 18’s. He also played and captained for the #5 ranked North Carolina Wesleyan College in America.
Dom loves that tennis is addictive, fun, active and challenging all at the same time and he enjoys teaching the mental side of the game.
He says that what makes Eastern Suburbs Tennis club stand out is the beautiful location, positive vibe and friendly coaching team and staff.
Dom relishes helping his clients meet their individual goals and watching them improve along the way. He hopes to one day coach a professional player onto the ATP or WTA tour.

From an early age Cameron participated in a number of sports with Football, Badminton and Tennis being his three main activities. Out of the three sports is soon became clear that rackets sports was where his main interests and skills started to excel, playing county standard badminton and becoming one of the youngest qualified level 1 coaches. Meanwhile he was quietly developing his tennis skills again playing to county standards and finally made the decision to concentrate on a tennis coaching career whilst still at college. He attained his BTEC Extended diploma in Sport and his level 1 and level 2 Tennis LTA coaching qualifications. During the last year Cameron has been working through an official LTA qualification scheme to become a level 3 LTA coach at Hythe Lawn Tennis Club becoming a much sort after coach. He is now looking forward to his next exciting challenge in Sydney at the Eastern Suburbs Tennis Club.
Cameron’s coaching style is very enthusiast, all encompassing and really strives to get the best out of either groups or individuals. Cameron is comfortable coaching all age groups and enjoys one to one sessions as well as group sessions.Cameron is mature, confident and has already built up a considerable amount of experience in developing players.

A veteran of Eastern Suburbs Tennis Club and our very own legend of the game, Ian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role as Senior Coach. At 73 years of age, Ian has been playing tennis at Coogee for more than 65 years! His achievements include NSW U/16 Champion and all divisions of Interdistrict as well as making several Australian Teams and Team Tennis Germany. He is the current World No. 21 for over 70’s and the current No. 2 Australian and Oceania over 70. Having commenced his coaching career at the tender age of 15, Ian has been coaching ever since and holds an ATPCA Level 2. His role model is Rod Laver and his favourite court to play on is Court 1 at Coogee. His coaching vision is to enable students to achieve a level to play and enjoy the great game of tennis. A true local, he loves the great people and great tennis that make up the club but can’t stand when things in the pro shop are not put back where they came from!

Fernanda (Fey) is our kids coach extraordinaire. Originally from Brazil, twenty-five-year-old Fey brings enthusiasm, fun and a personal touch to her tennis coaching. Fey’s qualifications include Certificate III and IV in… and a Diploma of Sports Coaching. She has level 1 and 2 from ATPCA (Australia’s Tennis Premier Coaching Association) as well as a valid Working with Children Check and First Aid. Fey has previously worked as an assistant coach in Brazil and as a tennis coach at Maccabi Tennis in White City. What she loves about tennis is that there are different grips for every shot. She says her favourite pre-tennis snack is nuts and fresh water and she enjoys learning while coaching.

Twenty-six-year-old Andre was just four years old when he picked up a tennis racket. Since then he has played tennis at a competitive level representing both Scots College and Eastern Suburbs Interdistrict. Andre has transitioned well into the coaching side of the game. He has earned his ATPCA Pro Level 1 Certification with honours and is determined to bring his great knowledge of the game to his clients. He is your classic sportsman vowing that a banana is his favourite pre-tennis snack. He loves the creativity and skill ceiling about tennis and thinks the best thing about coaching is helping people develop a life-long skill. His favourite thing about the club is the different personalities and welcoming atmosphere.
